Scott McTominay & Paul Pogba
It’s unclear whether Scott McTominay will be fit for the trip to Sheffield. Fans have been told:
Scott McTominay is a doubt for the trip to South Yorkshire, after he was replaced with an ankle injury during our last outing – a 3-1 win over Brighton & Hove Albion… Our no.39 may be struggling to be fit for the weekend.
Meanwhile, Paul Pogba will certainly miss the match against the Blades.
Pogba has been sidelined for weeks with an ankle injury. Man United reveal:
Paul Pogba is also continuing his recovery from injury but Ole has suggested the midfield man may not return before December.
Is there any good news for Man United?
A little.
Axel Tuanzebe “could provide a boost to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s options at centre-back” as the defender is on the comeback trail from a hip problem.
Sticking with United’s backline, Diogo Dalot “is hopeful of being available soon”.
However, it’s unclear if Luke Shaw and Nemanja Matic could return this weekend following their respective injury issues.
Blades will be without Dean Henderson
He’s been an ever-present this season, however Sheffield United will miss Dean Henderson this weekend.
Henderson is on-loan with the Blades from Man United, and he’s ineligible to feature on Sunday due to the terms of that loan agreement.
That offers an opportunity for back-up keeper Simon Moore, or Michael Verrips, to show what they can do in goal.
John Egan is also an injury doubt for the Blades after he sustained an injury on Irish international duty.
