Boca president confirms Marcone deal


Boca Juniors president Daniel Angelici has confirmed the Argentine club has agreed a deal to sign Ivan Marcone from Cruz Azul. 

"Cruz Azul accepted the last proposal, we are starting the draft contract, if we agree on Monday, he will travel to get a medical check-up, Boca will transfer and start training with the school," he said in an interview with Diario Ole


Herrera not ruling out Porto stay


Hector Herrera has not entered negotiations with any club in Serie A and remains open to staying with Porto, according to his agent.

Herrera’s agent Gabriel Moraes told A Bola: “Herrera hasn’t ruled out staying with Porto," before laying out the list of teams his client had not negotiated with yet.

America's Dominguez sale complete


America winger Cecilio Dominguez is leaving the club for Independiente in Argentina, according to  Record .

Las Aguilas said earlier in the window that they would let the Paraguayan winger go for a $8 million fee but later asked for $6 million and 30 percent of his future sell-on rights.


Milan and Roma set to battle for Herrera


Hector Herrera is a target of both AC Milan and Roma according La Gazetta dello Sport.

The Porto midfielder will not renew his contract in June and, with Financial Fair Play hanging over the club, Milan are interested in players that wouldn't require a transfer fee.

Roma are also in the market, though, although Inter have seemingly pulled out of the race for the Mexico midfielder.


Napoli looking at summer move for Lozano


Mexico winger Hirving Lozano is one of Napoli's summer targets, according to  Gazzetta dello Sport.

The 23-year-old PSV player has stood out since moving abroad and garnered attention from a number of top clubs. Now the Partenopei have joined their ranks, with PSV looking for a €35 million ($40m) fee for the former Pachuca man.


Turkey could be next step for 'Gullit'


Carlos "Gullit" Pena has interest from four clubs in Turkey, according to 24 Saat Futbol.

He is back on contract with Rangers but the Scottish club has no interest in retaining his services. A spring loan to Cruz Azul was cut short because of indiscipline and Necaxa cut ties with the player after using him only five teams in the recently concluded Apertura .

Now, he could continue his career with Erzurumspor, Alanyaspor or Caykur Rizespor. First-place Basaksehir also could have interest.


Chicharito has La Liga suitors


Valencia would like to sign Mexico's all-time leading scorer from West Ham United, according to  Superdeporte .

The Hammers likely would need to sign another forward in the winter before letting Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez go to Valencia - either outright or in a loan deal. However, Los Che like what Hernandez would bring both with his scoring abilities and his La Liga experience.

Sevilla and Real Betis also are interested in signing Chicharito, according to  Marca .


Inter enters Herrera race


Inter Milan directors have met with members of Hector Herrera's camp, according to  Tuttomercato .

An  A Bola   report earlier this year indicated Juventus has interest in bringing in Herrera from Porto. The Rosario native, whose contract is up at the end of the season, also has been continually linked with Roma where Monchi is now sporting director. The Spaniard has long had interest in the El Tri standout, putting him on the club's radar when he still worked at Sevilla.


Alvarez on Celtic's radar


Edson Alvarez has interest from Celtic after his performance in the second leg of the Liga MX final, according to  Record .

The center back-defensive midfielder scored twice in the final to help Club America to a title victory. After scouting him and a number of other players at the World Cup, Celtic likes what it sees but is yet to make an offer to the Mexico City club.
