Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has this evening provided fitness updates on a number of his squad’s stars, ahead of their meeting with Watford.
Watford vs Chelsea
The Blues are set to travel to Vicarage Road tomorrow, for the day’s late Premier League kick-off.
Lampard’s men will head into proceedings, unlike their opponents, amid a superb run of form of late.
While Watford are incredibly yet to notch a single league win to this point in the campaign, Chelsea have racked up 4 straight top-flight victories.
The latest of these came last weekend, when Christian Pulisic’s dazzling hat-trick guided the capital giants to a 4-2 win at Burnley.
The Pensioners, however, will actually be going in search of a bounce-back result tomorrow evening, having been ousted from the League Cup by Manchester United on Wednesday night.
Chelsea stars to miss out
As such, ahead of his side’s latest outing, Frank Lampard this evening provided a fitness update on Chelsea’s squad.
Despite their fine form of late, the Londoners have actually been dealing with a whole host of problems on the personnel front.
The likes of N’Golo Kante, Antonio Rudiger and Emerson have all spent time on the sidelines of late.
And Lampard subsequently confirmed that both Rudiger and Kante, along with Ross Barkley and Andreas Christensen, are set to miss out once again this weekend.
The latter trio, though, are all closing in on respective returns to the pitch:
Frank Lampard reports that Toni Rudiger is not fit for the Watford game and will see a consultant on Monday regarding a pelvic problem. N’Golo Kante may return for Ajax game. Ross Barkley and Andreas Christensen not far from returns.#WATCHE

Lampard was also drawn on which of his wide-men could partner Tammy Abraham in attack at Watford:
Lampard says it’s a tough decision this weekend over who to select from Pulisic, Hudson-Odoi, Willian & Pedro, but it’s competition which means players know they have to perform. That’s all from the boss here, but there will be more on The 5th Stand soon.#WATCHE
