Tuanzebe previews Man United’s upcoming clash with Liverpool: ‘It’s a brutal game’

Man United beaten at Newcastle

Manchester United’s season took another turn for the worse on Sunday afternoon.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took his side to an out for form Newcastle team that had just been demolished 5-0 by Leicester City.

Yet Man United failed to summon up any sort of acceptable display vs Steve Bruce’s side, eventually coming away with a 1-0 loss thanks to a long-range effort from Newcastle debutant, Matthew Longstaff.

As a result, Man United are currently in the midst of their worst start to a league season since the 1989/90 campaign.

Tuanzebe looks ahead to Liverpool

Solskjaer now has the international break to try and resolve United’s issues.

However, The Red Devil’s poor form is unlikely to end in their first game back.

That is because United must play host to Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool on October 20th.

Liverpool currently sit atop of the PL table with a commanding eight-point gap opened up between themselves and 2nd place Manchester City.

Liverpool are also yet to drop a single point in the league this campaign, winning eight from eight.

Manchester United defender Axel Tuanzebe has been speaking about their upcoming clash with Liverpool, labeling it a brutal game:

“We go back to the drawing board, the international break [is] now time for us to regroup. We believe in what we’re doing, in time it will come.

“Now it’s just that tough phase. Next game we look forward to is Liverpool. [We] definitely want to get a result in that game.

“It’s always a big game. Through my academy stages, Liverpool is a must-win. It’s a brutal game. It wasn’t a tippy-tappy game; no matter what age group.

“Obviously coming here to the first team, I expect more of the same. It will be a game where we need to grind it out and stick together and produce a result.” As quoted by the Mirror.
