Aston Villa vs Bournemouth
Aston Villa were shot straight in at the deep-end on their Premier League return last Saturday.
Their first game of the new season was away to Tottenham.
Villa held their own for a lot of the game and even took the lead in the 9th minute via John McGinn.
However, Spurs would continue to press for an equaliser with the substitution of Christian Eriksen a real turning point in the tie.
Tottenham eventually won the clash 3-1 thanks to a brace from Harry Kane and a debut goal for Tanguy Ndombele.

Villa injury update
Aston Villa have a much kinder fixture this weekend as they host Bournemouth.
Bournemouth didn’t have a great start to the new campaign, drawing 0-0 at home to newly-promoted Sheffield United.
Ahead of the Bournemouth game, Villa boss Dean Smith has provided an injury update on his squad.
Smith confirmed the trio of James Chester, Kortney Hause and Jonathan Kodjia are all out of Saturday’s game:
“James Chester is still missing, Kortney Hause is still missing – he got an ankle injury in Leipzig – and Jonathan Kodjia as well, he got injured early on in the Tottenham game… He’s got a bit of a high ankle sprain so he’ll be about 10-12 days out.”
The boss confirms that James Chester, @Kortney_30 and @J_Kodjia will all miss Saturday’s clash with Bournemouth. 🤕
