Poch on Spurs’ signings
It has now been close to a year and a half since Tottenham last signed a new senior player.
Spurs would bring in Lucas Moura from PSG on January 31st 2018.
Since then, Mauricio Pochettino’s side have failed to sign a fresh face in two previous transfer window.
However, in a recent interview with Catalunya Radio, Pochettino stated that it was ‘mandatory’ that Spurs team be reinforced this year:
“It is mandatory that this year the team is reinforced. We have saved a lot of money, in just two years without signing up, and this should allow us to strengthen ourselves”. As quoted by Catalunya Radio.
Poch may well get his wish in the current window as Spurs are being heavily linked with both Leeds’ Jack Clarke and Lyon’s Tanguy Ndombele.

Poch on CL final
In the same interview, Pochettino opened up on Spurs’ Champions League final defeat.
Pochettino guided Tottenham to their first ever CL final earlier this month.
However, they would lose 2-0 to fellow Premier League outfit, Liverpool.
When speaking about the final, the Argentine claimed a final vs a fellow PL side loses its charm:
“Knowing Anfield , where everything is possible, you can not relax .
“Obviously I was surprised to see Barça being eliminated, nobody expected the outcome. I would have liked to play against Barça in the Champions League final , and More in Madrid, at the Wanda.
“I was looking forward to playing against Messi, against Barça, for the rivalry that we have. A final with Premier League teams loses charm. ” As quoted by Catalunya Radio.
