Wolves vs Watford

Wolves will play Watford in an FA Cup semi-final on Sunday as they look to win silverware in their first season back in the Premier League.

The remaining semi-final sees Brighton and Manchester City face off on Saturday.

Wolves have won the FA Cup four times in their history, the last time being in 1960.

Watford have never won the FA Cup but were runners up in the 1983/84 season.

To reach this year’s semi-final Watford beat Woking in the 3rd round, Newcastle in the 4th round, QPR in the 5th round and Crystal Palace in the quarter-final.

Wolves, on the other hand, beat Liverpool in the 3rd round, Shrewsbury in a 4th round replay, Bristol City in the 5th round and Manchester United in the quarter-final.

Moutinho’s future in football

Ahead of the tie Joao Moutinho has been speaking to the media about a number of topics, one of which being his future in football.

Moutinho arrived in Wolves last summer from AS Monaco for a fee of around £5m.

The 33-year-old has proven to be one of the buys of the season and has formed a great partnership with Ruben Neves.

Moutinho is contracted to Wolves until 2020 but despite his age, it appears the midfielder wants to continue on at Wolves for as long as possible:

“I don’t know how many players or boys want to be in my position. I try to live my life with happiness and with a smile on my face. I try to do my best.

“Do I think about the future?  If I can do another 20 years, I would do 20 years, but I’m sure it’s not possible. When I feel that the club wants me, and has a good project, that is what gives me a lot of energy to continue.”As quoted by the Telegraph.
