La Liga giants Real Madrid have this evening been dealt a pair of blows on the injury-front, during the opening 45 minutes of their clash with Ajax.
Real Madrid vs Ajax
Los Blancos are currently locked in action with Dutch powerhouse Ajax at the Bernabeu, in the 2nd-leg of their Champions League last-16 tie.
Real headed into proceedings in firm control of the tie, having picked up a 2-1 victory at the Johan Cruijff ArenA 3 weeks ago.
The European champions, though, did fall to their 2nd El Clasico defeat in the space of 3 days at the weekend, as Barcelona took another huge step towards the La Liga title with a 1-0 victory in the Spanish capital.

Ajax on top
And Real’s struggles have been laid bare for all to see once again over the course of the first-half of their clash with Ajax this evening.
Incredibly, early goals from Hakim Ziyech and David Neres have seen the visitors take a 2-goal lead into the interval.

Vazquez & Vinicius crocked
And a thoroughly-miserable opening 45 minutes for Real has since been compounded by a double blow on the injury-front.
First off, Lucas Vazquez was forced off with a problem on the half-hour mark, with the Spaniard having been replaced by Gareth Bale.

And Los Merengues’ opposite flank was hit next, as prodigious talent Vinicus Jr. limped off after a lung-busting run which eventually saw the Brazilian hit the side-netting.
