Leicester City manager Claude Puel has this afternoon provided injury updates on a number of the club’s stars, ahead of their meeting with Crystal Palace on Saturday evening.
Leicester vs Crystal Palace
The Foxes are set to welcome Roy Hodgson’s Palace to the King Power Stadium in 2 days’ time, for a Premier League clash.
Visitors Palace will head into proceedings sitting in 13th in the Premier League table. However, the close nature of the bottom-half of the English top-flight means that, as things stand, the capital outfit are just 3 points clear of 18th-placed Southampton.
The Eagles have been buoyed by a solid recent run of form, though, having emerged from their last 5 outings across all competitions with a defeat.
Hosts Leicester, meanwhile, sit just 1 place above Palace in the Premier League table.
The 2015-16 champions have endured a largely hit-and-miss campaign to this point, with Claude Puel’s men having majorly-struggled over the last 6 weeks in particular.
Leicester are in the midst of a 6-game winless streak across all competitions, 5 of which came as defeats, including an embarrassing FA Cup exit at the hands of Newport County.
Leicester’s injury concerns
And, in a blow to the prospects of the Foxes as they aim to steady the ship on Saturday, news has emerged this afternoon that a pair of the club’s key men are in doubt to feature versus Palace.
The players in question are Ben Chilwell and James Maddison, both of whom picked up injury problems in training.
Long-term absentees Daniel Amartey and Marc Albrighton, meanwhile, are both also set to miss out:
CP: “Of course, Amartey and Albrighton are not available (for Saturday). For Chilwell and Maddison it is not serious, but we will see tomorrow.” #LeiCry

Ben Chilwell and James Maddison are doubts ahead of the game with Crystal Palace. Both players face a late fitness test. Leicester are without Daniel Amartey (ankle) and Marc Albrighton (hamstring) who may not play again this season. Mendy is fit. #LCFC https://t.co/cckOHhGs0b
