Chelsea’s Eden Hazard reaches impressive career milestone vs Huddersfield

Chelsea star Eden Hazard this afternoon reached and subsequently surpassed a hugely-impressive milestone in his club career, after netting a brace versus Huddersfield.

The Blues welcomed Premier League basement-dwellers Huddersfield to Stamford Bridge a short time ago.

Chelsea headed into the clash desperate to return to winning ways, after being thoroughly-embarrassed en route to a 4-0 drubbing at the hands of Bournemouth last time out.

And, in the end, get back to winning ways was exactly what the hosts managed, in absolutely ruthless fashion.

The capital giants took the lead this afternoon with just 9 minutes on the clock, when Gonzalo Higuain opened his account for the club with a superb rifled finish from a tight angle.

And Chelsea went on to double their lead on the stroke of half-time, when Eden Hazard dispatched from the penalty spot.

Hazard subsequently went doubled his tally for the day with his 2nd with 66 minutes on the clock, before Higuain also notched his brace less than 5 minutes later.

And an utterly-dominant performance on the part of the Blues was rounded out 5 minutes from time, when David Luiz got in on the scoring with a deflected header from Willian’s corner.

Hazard’s milestone

Chelsea’s win, meanwhile, also saw the club’s star man, Eden Hazard, surpass a massively-impressive career milestone.

In netting his first goal of the day, Belgian attacker Hazard reached the mark of 200 direct contributions to league goals over the course of his club career:

And Hazard went on to make it 201 with his 2nd this afternoon.
