Arnautovic signs a new contract with West Ham
Over the last few weeks, it looked as though Marko Arnautovic would be leaving West Ham in the January window.
The Austrian was reportedly attracting interest from China with Arnautovic said to be keen to move.
Arnautovic was then left out of West Ham’s last two matchday squads vs Bournemouth and AFC Wimbledon.
With the striker’s future looking very uncertain, it was quite a surprise when West Ham announced they had signed Arnautovic to a new contract.

West Ham still targeting Gomez
With Arnautovic confirming he will be back for West Ham’s next game, you would think the Hammers would no longer need to sign a replacement.
However, the Evening Standard are reporting that West Ham are willing to trigger Celta Vigo forward Maxi Gomez’s release clause.
Gomez is said to have a release clause of £43.5m.
Gomez joined the La Liga outfit in 2017 for a fee of around £3.6m.
The 22-year-old has played 58 games across all competitions, in which he has scored 27 and assisted 10.
Gomez has also scored nine and assisted five in 18 league games this campaign.
