Pereira’s limited opportunities at Man United

According to the Mirror, West Ham are eyeing a loan move for Manchester United midfielder, Andreas Pereira.

Pereira’s current United deal does run out at the end of the season but the club do have the option to extend the deal by a year.

The 22-year-old has spent most of his senior and youth career at Old Trafford.

Pereira has played 46 games for United’s under-23 side, scoring 10 and assisting seven.

However, the Argentine has played just 19 games for United’s senior side.

Instead, Pereira has enjoyed two loan spells in Spain with Valencia and Granada.

The midfielder started United’s first two league games this campaign. But since then his game time has been limited.

West Ham continue to improve

As a result, Pereira is likely to be open to joining an improving West Ham side on loan.

West Ham started the season very poorly.

They lost their first four league games of the season and looked like they could be in for a relegation battle.

Now, however, West Ham are eyeing a Europa League spot.

Their latest league game saw them travel to Fulham and come away with a 2-0 win.

The win vs Fulham was West Ham’s 4th in a row and means they are now 9th in the Premier League.

West Ham are also just three points off sixth place, Manchester United.

The Hammers next league game sees them host Watford on Saturday the 22nd.
