Watford 1 – Chelsea 2
Eden Hazard secured the plaudits after Chelsea beat Watford 2-1 on Boxing Day.
Hazard rediscovered his scoring touch as the Belgian bagged a brace at Vicarage Road.
First half injury time saw a flurry of activity.
Eden Hazard profited from a mistake in Watford’s backline to round Ben Foster to fire Chelsea in front.
However Watford levelled in the five minute of first half stoppage time through a Roberto Pereyra volley from a corner.
Hazard settled the contest in the second half from the penalty spot.
Troy Deeney’s advice to keeper Foster backfired as Hazard slipped his spot-kick into the opposite side.

In the 41st minute, Pedro was seen holding the back of his left leg. The Chelsea star indicated he had a hamstring problem.

Pedro was replaced by 18-year-old winger Callum Hudson-Odoi.
Sadly for Hudson Odoi, he failed to last the whole Watford match after he too went down with injury.
With five minutes left in the contest, Hudson-Odoi was replaced by Emerson.
Hudson Odoi grimaced as he left the pitch, while Chelsea’s fans booed the decision as they felt bad for the sub who was then subbed.

Sarri provides an update: "We don't know how much Pedro is injured, we will evaluate tomorrow. That is the same problem with Hudson-Odoi. He had a little injury a few days ago, yesterday it was good and he managed 50-55 minutes. We thought it was better to substitute him." #CFC
